i stole this from jess meigel's blog, which i found bc i'm an expert online stalker. i couldn't have put it any better...
this year in japan has been absolutely life-changing for me. and in the meantime, the lives of my loved ones have changed as well. some for the much-much-worse.
so i've followed my dreams. and i'm eternally glad for the chance to travel, experience the beauty of japan, teach english to wicked cutie kids, meet really rad people, understand a different culture, learn japanese slang, and develop my independence. but it hasn't been cheap.
