tomorrow some girls [Mandy and Sarah-- YAY] are coming to visit and have sushi at Manyo. i'm so thrilled to have "guests", newcomers to Himi. it's such fun to show off my apartment and my town and my sushi place... but i just couldn't wait till friday night to get sushi, so ann and i went by ourselves tonight. somehow seeing the eels in the bucket near the door doesn't destroy the fact that they taste amazing in a sushi roll... as we were heading out, i looked at them and felt a bit queasy, but i'm sure i won't turn them down next time either :) i would never in a million years have guessed that i would enjoy eating eel...
today was absolutely beautiful here!! finally we got some cool weather, but it was still brightly sunny with just a few clouds in the sky. my windows are open for the first time; hopefully that will keep my electricity bill down. every day up till now i have needed A.C.
